Parenting Counts | Outreach

Talaris Institute, the developers of Parenting Counts educational materials, is a not for profit organization with the mission of supporting parents and caregivers in raising socially and emotionally healthy children. Our role has been to:

mine the current and developing research on child development
find essential information for parents and caregivers focusing on brain development, attachment and social and emotional development
look for best practices and
develop materials that are of high quality and are highly accessible for use by our clients.

Of course, our mission is not accomplished until these materials are in the hands of and being used by parents and caregivers! We know that there are countless agencies and organizations who are working to support parents in their communities. We want to work with you, to provide you with a wide range of educational materials for parents and training materials and resources for professionals.

While Parenting Counts materials are all designed with ease of use in mind, organizations often seek training materials. Additionally, training groups can purchase bundled sets of materials – research spotlights, parent guides and reminder postcards, for distribution to their clients during the training sessions.
